Sorry, you're right I goofed..meant to say they orginally started with DS1 and then intoduced DS3. I don't know about OC3, but could check if you'd like. The 2 degrees applied I know to DS1, meaning sectorization of 180, as I understood it, that meant that 180 point- to- point paths could be run off the same set of antennas. I do not know if/how this applies in P-MP.
Also, I've been confused about the talk of analog vs digital. From the beginning, Wireless Fiber was positioned as being digital, with 100 Ohm balanced digital interface, bit error rate of 99.999% and digital line code of AMI or B8ZS. Obviously, since it uses the radio spectrum, the waves beween antenna are analog, but to my information they are sent out and received digitally. |
