I did some valuation comparison of AOL to AAPL.
AAPL AOL
Current Price $27.00 $69.00
Book Value $8.50 $1.47
Q. EPS 0.37 0.09
Est PE 18.4 183.3
Market Cap 3,456 15,180 mil
Shares 128(140) 220 mil
Last Earnings 47 20.7 mil
Quarter Rev 1574 592 mil
Annualized 6296 2368 mil
Inst Holding 23.77% 75.6%
Insiders 2.36% 12.5%

PE based on Yahoo's calculation is more than 700! The funny thing is that AOL bears have gotten burned in recent months. How bizzare.

I guess part of the reason the stock is capable of supporting such an outrageous valuation is because they've got just about everyone on their side. With many brokerage house and analysts having an interest in AOL doing well, I guess they've got their bases covered. Hehe...
1. 75.6% institutional holders
2. Motley Fools connection
3. High company insider holding
4. AOL's ability to constantly dish out PR to its subscribers and the rest of the internet.
