Hello Goalie & Steve
My memory is definitely fading in my old age. Thanks Goalie, yes, that is the news release, but I had read several documents and their information had run together in my mind.
The 2/20/98 Canaccord Capital Morning Market Report and an IAR mailer also had references I found interesting, particularly the latter with regard to the "characterization" of those other five geochemical trains.
The mailer reads, "The mineral chemistry is these trains in terms of quantity, quality and composition is some of the best found to date in the NWT diamond play."
As I said, I don't know if these words are IAR's or SUF's and therefore somewhat suspect, but it does leave one intrigued as to the longer exploration potential of the Back Lake claims beyond the initial drilling success or failure this spring in "Munny" Lake.
It would be more helpful to actually know the data on those trains, G10%'s, Mg%, percentage of eclogitic garnets vs peridotitic, abrasion characteristics, grain size especially illmenites, etc.? It would also help to know their proximity to the claim boundaries?
SUF has historically had a double price bump spring and fall, and it would seem that between the NWT and Klipspringer, that potential exists again this year. If there is some NWT success that isn't 300 meters from shore in 150 meters of water, these claims may also provide some longer term punch to KLA and IAR.
It is also worth keeping in mind that ABZ has a $9 million exploration program at Lac de Gras this year and SUF has a nice piece of that as well. It is already underway.
The next two months should be very exciting.
