Dave I had a discussion a while back with a fellow investor concerning the difference between hype and reasonable expectations.

It's my perspective that the best time to be most positive about any stock is when it looks the least rational to be positive at all.

Last Monday the stock ran to .99. Investors on this thread all
experienced a period of what now appears to be irrational exuberance.

Thank you Mr. Greenspan for that lovely phrase!

Now with the stock fully 33% lower and a much better value I simply point out the fact that American BioMed is still a take over candidate.

That is a fact!

Unfortunately it has been a fact for several years. Looking at a research report written almost two years ago a valuation of four of ABMI's products in R&D was found to be around $100 million at the high end of expectations.

This figure does not include a great deal of progress that has been made by the company to date so it may even be a low ball estimate. I mean there is no valuation extended to the company's current product line at all.

How much would the 100% silicone catheter line be worth?

How much value would ISO 9001 status and future CE Mark approval have to a company interested in acquiring ABMI?

How profitable will the OEM business be for American BioMed and would that have any value to a company interested in acquiring ABMI?

What about all those patents? What are they worth?

I honestly don't know Dave.

Any discussion of an acquisition is pure supposition anyway.

But you see where I feel it is necessary to differentiate hype from a little cheer leading is when the stock becomes a reasonable buy.

It's a reasonable buy today Dave. At .66, at .62 it doesn't matter.

Buy out or no buy out ABMI is on the right course for investors.

It's a lot safer to hype the stock today than last Monday!

You just won't find many people rational enough to join you if you do!

As for the discussions about car buying based on where ABMI may go from here I feel that is all in fun. Actually I am not sure I have ever seen as much discussion about what people will do when they get what they feel ABMI will ultimately trade for on any thread.

Is that hype?

Time will tell!

GO ABMI!

Regards, Jeff
