Thanks for the article Greg...so much for RBOC's cutting spending <g>. Interesting, LU will take home $500 million of the $1.5 billion BA plans to spend. But what is Fujitsu doing in there? Also, why would BA choose both LU and CIEN, rather than a single vendor? Perhaps to only deploy LU's 80-channel system at high-traffic points, but then again, LU also has a 16-channel system as well, so that does not make much sense either. I'm guessing that it is possible because Bell Atlantic may already have CIEN equipment installed in their network. Any ideas?
