From YAHOO:
Just talked with Joe La Stella re Kiplinger pieceRavenCrazy
(97/F/Texas) Mar 30 1998

I can't explain the confusion caused by the Kiplinger menu not going through the feed on Friday night, but I just got off the phone with Joe. He says it has aired in more states than Wisconsin, including (but not limited to) Texas and Louisiana (Shreveport).

The voice-over on the piece is, of course, very important as describing how Kiplinger presented BAT, and the following is quoted straight from part of the voice-over transcript. Some of you may notice that the first paragraph has been quoted either here or on S.I. and isolated as it was by that poster, it was VERY misleading. Here is what Joe read to me:

"Why would you want to invest in a company in which you cannot see the financial statements? You know that's crazy. That's absolutely crazy.

"I would only invest in a company that I've thoroughly inspected and I have their financial statement and have spoken to the management of the company.

"In the case of BAT, you CAN [note: and those large letters are very large on the hard copy of the voice-over]now get the financials, posted on their website. BAT says they are complying with all SEC rules.

"It could even become a hot stock once again, but the stock price now is under a dollar."

---

Ended of quoted part. The calls Joe has received from people who have seen the program have been favorable.

I do not have a fax but would greatly appreciate it if someone would copy and fax this post to Joe's attention. E-mail won't do, as Al won't be back for a couple of days. Thanks, but post that you'll fax, so that 50 people don't do so.
