True, but I normally buy enough different stocks that I can handle the pain when one of 'em goes down hard....as long as the fundamentals appear intact, I am more inclined to BUY MORE at lower prices rather than to set arbitrary stop-loss points...I always figure it's better to buy low than to sell low, right ??

If you are trading paper instead of investing in companies, and making large "bets" on a particular piece of paper, then I can understand the "cut your losses" philosophy.

I have sometimes taken large losses by riding stocks down, but I have plenty of other cases where I've made so much more by holding and adding to the position....I'm not saying one way is right and one way is wrong. Honestly, I don't know enough about ECGOF to really make a strong fundamental call one way or another...the numbers look compelling, but numbers can deceive. It would not be a very large position anyway, so I could handle the pain if it dropped.

Happy Investing !!

Mark.
