"once again, stacks of pointless and arbitrary laws have been set up to facilitate the fleecing of america. this is simply rearranging deck chairs on the titanic." The Estate Tax laws are not pointless. They are designed by Liberal Social Re-Engineers who wish to redistribute wealth from the "haves" to the "have nots". If it were not for this type of redistributed wealth the Country might be more like that elsewhere, with just two classes the very very wealthy land owners and the shlubs. I'm not saying whether these tax are "good" or "bad". I'm just saying that they are NOT pointless. Colin
