To All, the market has fallen into the pattern of going up in the morning, to the cheers of CNBC talking heads and then falling in the afternoon, to a lot of CNBC comments about how the decline doesn't matter. What's the story? Are bulls only working half shifts now? -g- Anyway, it was a very nice day for Micron and Gateway. GTW makes big moves both ways while MU just quietly erodes in price.

Portfolio notes. I have sold a third of Ascend and now just hold a third. The first third I bought was near these levels. The second was much lower. Guess which one the IRS will see next year? -g- Those guys must think I'm the world's worst investor. And they can keep thinking it, as far as I'm concerned.

I bought another third of GZTC today. That gives me a full position once more. Also, I recommended it in the IFC Newsletter that will be published Wednesday, and Mark Johnson told me 10,000 folks read my last article, so there may be a stampede to buy. -g-

Can you root for both teams to lose in the NCAA Men's Basketball Finals? I was kind of hoping for a Princeton/Stanford final. Wouldn't it be great if two academic powerhouses played? There have been a few top schools that have made the finals, but I can't remember them ever playing each other. Maybe I'm just being elitist. After all, physical prowess is at least as important as intellectual prowess. Penn made the Final Four when I was at Wharton, but Magic Johnson and Co. stomped our team pretty good. They played a consolation round in those days, and Penn lost to DePaul, but it was a good game. Good luck, MB
