Unconfirmed Gorilla Sightings... Just a reminder that there are 2 distinguishing characteristics of a Gorilla

#1) Proprietary, but open technology

#2) High Switching Costs

While we would like to think of some very large high technology companies such as CPQ or DELL as gorillas, you can see neither fits the description above. Personally, I think CSCO is the major gorilla at this time... faster PC operating systems and INTC hardware can't fix the WWW (World Wide Wait) but CSCO technology and products can. Possibly this killer application is the gorilla opportunity of all time. Good luck to everyone
