Silver is usually not a component of solder for soldering ICs to the PCBs, most likely for cost. Electronic's solder is commonly composed of Tin/Lead and may have a rosin core. You can go into any electronic store and read the package off a roll of solder. Usually in the ratio of 60/40. Tinning makes the joints nice and shiny like a new tin can. Silver solder is 3% Silver, 61.5% Tin and 35.5% lead. Which had one
small section in my Electronics catalog, Regular solder had 2 pages.

Also in plumbing to prevent lead poisoning some are starting to use a silver based solder.
