To each and all...... I don't know if you have seen this latest "hot from the press" press release. If you have, please disregard............ Compaq, H&Q invest in offline audio Audible Inc. announced today Compaq Computer Corp. and Hambrecht & Quist LLC, a unit of Hambrecht & Quist Inc., have made an investment in the company. Audible developed and markets a hand held device which can store up to two hours of audio content, downloaded from the Internet, for offline listening. The company also has a distribution relationship with RealNetworks Inc. Audible founder Donald Katz said, "Our latest round of financing will enable us to reach the next level in our operational plan." The size of the investment was not revealed.
