jiggy,

<< does everyone have to be such a bull on INTC to be liked around here or something?>>

Absolutely not. I always like to hear all viewpoints. My issue with what you were forecasting is very specific. With just a few weeks left in the Q2 Intel reiterated that revenue would be flat but that margins would increase. This obviously translated into higher earnings. Despite this, you kept on insisting that you had your own projections and that you thought earnings would be flat. I asked you at that time how you could possibly know more that Intel's financial folks and you responded by implying that they had their own agenda and were intentionally painting a better picture than the actual story. Well, as you know, the rest is history. Q2 margins were better than Q1 and earnings did increase sequentially. BTW, I am in at 27 and still holding. Q4 should be another blowout. With such a strong Q3 and wanting to show sequential growth in Q4, I have to believe that Intel was smart enough to hold back some earnings from Q3 to apply towards Q4. As you probably realize, revenue must be claimed in the quarter received. It is fairly easy, however, to manipulate earnings (i.e. pull ahead or in this case hold back). In addition to possibly holding back some earnings, Q4 should be strong on its own merits due to strong PC demand.
