The Motley Fool report is just like WSJ articles:

1) No technical information or analysis of the product line.
2) No in depth technical look at upcoming products like Rhapsody.
3) No vision of where the business intends to go and how it is doing.
4) A whole lot of soft talk about yesterday's numbers and rumors.

Basically the l-o-n-g and boring article said the board should make Jobs yell "uncle" and say he is CEO. The Fool could have said it all in a sentence (but then there would be no article).

Why the board should make Jobs say the magic word CEO? - the Fool does not mention. The article pretended the board was real mad and going to tell Jobs to take it or leave it. A mindless newspaper rumor being spread even after death by the Fool in this article. It was never stated and even denied by board members over a week ago. I would post the relevant message but it is not worth the look-up time.

Oh yeah, the article can not be written without a generous sprinkling of brainless mantras. Example: "cult-like devotion that many Mac fans....". Meaning, of course, that we all buy Apple because we have been hypnotized and drugged. Rhapsody? Never heard of it.

There was one thing that he said that was interesting:

"Apple has made a number of good decisions ........and finally producing a computer for the sub-$1,000 market"

I have probably missed it, but what sub $1,000 Apple computer is he talking about? Hope somebody knows.

Today's computer results:

DELL = -5/16
CPQ = -1/4
IBM = -1 1/8
APPL = +1/2

Which one would the Motley Fool pick?
