Baird: When I came back from the annual meeting, I tried doing a medline on C18 (it was the only handle I had). It turned up about 8 gazillion references on HPLC. I just tried "Vanderbilt" AND "lipoprotein lipase", and turned up zip of interest. This release is all over the block...... the gene is involved with the diagnosis and cure of everything other than zits. With the exception of "C18 gene expression is specifically associated with actively differentiating endothelial cells", there's nothing to grab hold of. Nonetheless, that's a nice handle, IMO. Rick
