Hi Three:
Thanks for the report on the new Dell facility.Again we find
that Dell does not do things without a well-thought plan or for
"mere assumptions". To be shipping computers in November from a new facility after doubling the Irish facility and starting a new plant in China does not indicate that business is slowing down. Another 7
acres under roof for manufacturing to go along with the 5 new sales/
adminstration buildings being occupied this year at Round Rock.
This has got to be part of phase 3 mentioned by Dell in the last stockholders meeting, which implied that a big expansion would be getting under way, and seems to be occuring much faster and in more areas(overseas) that I thought possible.
A possible use of the $500 mil bank credit availability.
I have never closed off the future by setting a limit on the percent that Dell can grow in a year, assuming only a 60% or even 40%
growth is enough to make the decision to buy or hold the stock.
If Dell starts producing from that plant in November, could anybody compute what the February 99 sales figures will look like??
To a competitor who does not get his act together real soon, it
may look like the Feb from %^$$.
And anyone who can appease the local citizens and environmentalists to have the plant built has 'got his act together'
Sig
