Hmm, this doesn't seem all that hot.

So, we're selling the modem business and brand to boci,
and they also get a big chunk of our employees and
other intellectual capital. We do this for $10M -
isn't that a fire-sale price? Awfully cheap.

In return we create a new product line based off of
small-business communications. However, the exact
nature of this doesn't get announced until "later
in the year".

Well, the new focus sounds a lot more profitable
than the old, no doubt about it. And unloading the
modem business entirely is certainly an admirably
aggressive move. Still, it looks to me like we've
gutted the firm short-term in exchange for long-term
possibilities and maybes. I wonder how the market will
react to this? Anyone care to comment?
