Uh oh, does this mean a coming avalanche of giant spinning 3D logos? Who really knows how to use 3D effectively and artistically? A (tiny)^4 handful compared to those who know how to use 2D. How long is it going to take to bring real graphic design into 3D? It could be years. Eventually it should happen, but not without pain. Chrome may signal a new era of tackiness on the Web. Giant spinning speckled 3D logos for the masses! I really hope it does not turn out that way, but it's been a while since tackiness ruled the Web, design standards finally emerged and killed off most of it, but maybe we're due for another wave.
