David, Just got my DoubleCase NB1000. Black plastic....cool foam. Looks like it would take just a few seconds to assemble this baby. This is not a deluxe model....no rocket science here....but light and does have an attractive "euro-design" just like it says on the box. Straps inside so that the lid opens 3/4 of the way only....much to the same angle as a laptop would open. Comes in a nice red/white box. "Hardcase Protection" in large letters across the top. American flag..Made in the USA..... Closest thing I can compare this case to, would be the case that a really nice cordless drill would come in. Plastic snap latches. There is a 1" by 3" indented place in the top of the case where a metal "DoubleCase" strip is glued in.......I believe it could say Dell or Gateway....or US Air Force.....just as easily..... A happy thought. Fight those gosh darned market makers, David. Don't give up until they see the whites of your eyes. I'm working on the other thing. Very optimistic. bg ps. I can see the margins here. Plastic injection molded pieces and a few pieces of foam. Cool foam. Has the raised bumps. Where are my certs!...I now have a case to put them in.
