To all; New thread member with 2 very positive reasons (until now) for buying into TSXX.

I was just about to buy when the ANTC merger talks were announced and the price shot up. The tone of this thread sounded ominous so I waited...and watched. Ouch!

But...is this an opportunity?

Positive source #1 was the 9/25 TEXAS JOURNAL piece in WSJ (and available on the Interactive) that spoke of huge things in the future for TSXX. Said investors were missing the big (and long) picture.

Positive source #2 involves my job as Program Director of a local Augusta, Ga. radio station, and my having to run down to my local Jones Intercable office because their advertising insertion equipment (from Texscan, as I found out) was making a mess of our station commercial on cable.

It was then I got the whole Texscan advertising insertion software story up close: that Augusta is a test market for this technology...that Texscan HAD encountered many problems (mine among them) but that the company was being diligent in sending tech people to solve problems.

Late last week I called back over to Jones, ('cause now I felt an investment opportunity here) to find that all problems had been "95-99% solved" and that company brass were saying...on visits...that in 2 years or so Texscan would stand alone in this service area, as their advances were leaving their few competitors behind.

I was therefore...and merger notwithstanding...preparing to buy when the do-do hit the fan this past week.

I'm mystified by TSXX's statements about downsizing their insertion company (Texsan). Just as they seem to be on the brink of ironing everything out.

I feel for those of you holding TSXX. My view from this distance is that TSXX is the victim of ANTC and TCI problems, not so much their own. Could the debacle of the last week trash the ANTC talks? (don't we hope they will?) And left alone, therefore, couldn't TSXX move on to fulfill the analysis of the 9/25 TEXAS JOURNAL?
