Just joined Si thread and I am also a recent purchaser of Ivac. One of the reasons I bought in is that management appears to be very conservative and I don't think there will often be any downside surprises. I view ivac as a long term holding and feel fortunate that I was able to buy at current values. I think expectations regarding the 3rd and 4th quarter's earnings have been set very low and in the worst case scenario Ivac will meet expectations. What if they exceed expectations substantially? Their key customers are all big multinational players that in my view are unlikely to disappear but might delay orders a couple of months (maybe 6-12 months) but will place orders to meet their customers' needs.
