Most of the time we specify speed and options, but in general we buy 233 MHz or better for use in office. Give you example on my desk
I have a 166 MHz system (I do heavy s/h development), which was deliver to me in July of 96. All these desktops are on 3 years lease schedule.

As far as GTW stock, it has not failed me yet.
