The total cap tied to the S&P 500 index is reported to be $600 Billion.
Nextel might represent pop of 1/500th or $1.25 Billion of the index funds.

Nextel trading : 37 Million shares X $33 3/4 = $1.24 Billion.

However, the total cap tied to the S&P 400 index is reported to be $20 Billion.
So those sales are close to negligible.

My conclusion is that the forced buying by the index funds is about over.

Wasent it great! I sold some tax deferred shares at the high for the day of 34 1/8. I have not tried a limit sell order that is set way out of the money before, but someone took the bait. Bet I can get them back by Friday for a few dollers less.
