jacksoo, NOT a dumb question! IMHO....a daytrader is somebody who trades stocks in and out to catch quick profits. I did that at first with FAMH, but have left my shares in now as a longer-term investment seeing the potential of the company. I guess daytraders feed off expected news and the momentum caused by rising volumes in studying the charts for stocks that would be good vehicles to make some money!! You really need a Level II system to accomplish that successfully for realtime activity is the key to see how the market makers are positioning themselves and to see the actual trading activity taking place and in what sizes.
