Gull.... If you quote something, quote it accurately. Here's this inoccuous scribe you refer to, and it appeared in the Business Report, and is pure speculation at this point (with respect to Klipspringer and jv with SUF. CAM and AMG will obviously have a say in any matter of rationalization-- they are controlling shareholders. So what if Randgold's assets are "rationalized"? "Its part of 'doin' business" and a lot has to do with POG.

"End of the road' for Randgold (Business Report,Jhb.)

Randgold would probably cease to exist in its present form before the
end of the year, Roger Kebble, newly appointed chairman, said
yesterday. Kebble also said he would consider some form of
rationalisation between Randgold assets and JCI. Both companies are
effectively controlled by Consolidated African Mines, the holding
company in which the Kebble family and the African Mining Group are
controlling shareholders.
