Intel celeron - discussion by PC World: AMD/NSM have been pouring lot of resources in low end processors. celleron is 20% slower than K6 from AMD.- supposed to be Pent. II - Intel has missed the mkt - AMD/CYRX grabbed the low end mkt - Intel rushed the chip for April 15 - Final chip may be a little bit better - Intel Mendeceno is 300 Mhz - a killer chip - the faster celleron - will come in the end of year - this may not be in 650 pc by CPQ - Manufacturers will find it hard to bring about a system for $ 999 using celleron - Intc has to play in every seg. of the mkt - that is the intention of Intel. anant
