<<Where have you been for several months? >>
I've been reading all the posts since around beginning of December. So I've read all you're posts since then. Yes, I started posting a few weeks ago. So you probably know my position. I'm investing for the long term. My expectations for COMS are that it start showing very concrete signs of improvement by Jan '99. Good chance that the turn around starts sooner. I started accumulating COMS last May/June. I did research on the company and liked the story. Mostly I'm very bullish on the network sector for the future. I see CSCO and COMS as the two companies best prepared to handle all the ups and downs coming up in the next few years.
<<Why don't you demonstrate to this thread what credibility you have>>
I don't think that we're here to compete against each other. (At least I'm not interested in that.) I think most of us are here to see if we can learn something new to improve our investing positions. I've been right and wrong about COMS. I was wrong back in Oct/Nov when the stock started drifting sharply downward, due to the accounting/inventory problems (caught me unawares - should have been more alert). I stayed in because I didn't see any change in the quality/expertise/vision of the company, just to name a few attributes I like. I've also been encouraged by the way COMS has been dealing with their problems since December. I've been accumulating more COMS since then, as it progressively goes down - considering it more and more of a bargain price.
I think I was right about saying in my earlier post somewhere, that we've seen most of the bad in COMS (still could get worse, but more likely to go up - this is looking at it from the fundamentals of the company; not market movement which is another variable - think that market movement will also move it up, but I consider that more speculation and don't like to rely on this kind of thinking).
<< So, I guess you're betting on the market pushing the stock up - pure market timing; is this correct? >>
<<Keep guessing.>>
So, does this mean you've become more optimistic about the fundamentals? I respect your opinion enough to want to know the reason for the change. Lately, though, I wonder if your being more whimsical, less honest to the thread.
<<I already explained my reasons. Go read my posts again.>>
Like I said, I've read all your posts since beg. of Dec.. From what I've seen your hugely negative about COMS. You've never said one thing good about the company. So, I'm surprised that you're buying. I know you think that lately, many bad companies/stocks are getting bought anyway because the tape is rolling that way - "don't stand in front of the tape philosophy". But, I'd be surprised to see you bet this way for a while on COMS - from my observations of reading your posts.
So, is there anything new in your reasoning for changing your position? Or are your posting standards dropping?
