<< Robert, Actually, I too was pleased with March. >>

Henry, the runup has come too early this year. Or has it?

In 1995 LGND had about a 60% runup, but during the June-August period.

In 1996, LGND had about a 80% runup, during the April-May period.

In 1997, LGND had about a 100% runup, during the April-October period.

Of course, these runups were usually from lows created prior in the year. You can never count 100% on repeating past performance, but IF we repeat this runup cycle this year, I wonder if it would occur without much of a pullback? There is a lot of good news and analyst recommendations supporting the price.

But, let's say we do have a pullback to around $14. Biotechs are very unpredictable.

If 1995's 60% runup re-occurs, we could go to about $22 1/2 from $14.

If 1996's 80% runup re-occurs, we could go to about $25 1/4 from $14.

If 1997's 100% runup re-occurs, we could go to about $28 fom $14.

Now, can we really wouldn't expect such explosive gains within the next few months? Those type of gains are usually reserved for high flying Internet or Tech stocks. But, it sure looks interesting, doesn't it? Especially with all the announcements that are expected in the near future.

<< Of course one of our nay sayers may have been disappointed ... >>

Some people go thru life with a frown on their face, looking for a reason to complain, or to be bitter. While he is jumping up and down complaining about LGND, or LGNDW, or whatever!, we'll be (hopefully) jumping up and down loving it!

Thanks for your significant efforts in documenting and explaining Ligand.

Regards, Bob
