While Certainly Something To Be Concerned About...
I don't think SEEK is going to walk away nor be pushed from the NSCP table. It is interesting to note that, last year, a full 25% of SEEK site visitors came from NSCP. But, if I've read my statistics correctly--which may well NOT be the case--it seems SEEK's reliance on NSCP was tracking down toward the end of last year.
And, of course, yes, SEEK, if it wishes to maintain its place will have to no doubt pony up more dollars.
To be honest, I don't think, even if the worst were to occur, i.e. NSCP snubs SEEK, that this event would be devastating. NSCP's power and visitor-driving influence are very much on the wane, seemingly by the month. Meanwhile, SEEK is making DT deals that are grabbing more eyeballs.
However, ultimately, who knows?
