Jimmyo: KKRO, the chicken place, I lost bucks on that in 1997. I sold it short.
Yep, I had a gut feeling that the place was in trouble, not many make it. There are some here in CA. but we never frequent them, Kentucky clucky, sometimes, never Ko Ko. So, I sold it short. It went up the next few days after my short sale, so I bought back at a loss. My guess was right, timing was way off. "patience"
Now they are taking Lee's name, maybe he'll even pluck the chickens, who knows, if it wasn't so low, I'd sell it short again.<VBG>
Jimmy: your analysis of Nextel's stock volume is interesting, if I understood it I'd re-invest. Nextel at 33 scares me something terrable, remeber "always short on good news." I don't ever short, I learned my lesson, but I won't buy in either if my gut feel tells me something isn't right.
Some investors talk a good game, but I'll bet even the general hasn't bought any more Nextel since it was at 15, and nobody was giving marching orders when it was at 23. I only wish that I could have the patience to sit that long in one position, owe to dream. Sometimes, marching to you own tune ain't that bad.<VBG>
Keep those Helis movin.....
Al G., still marchin around to my own tune, one step from the funny farm. |
