Five Percent of Atrix International Stock Acquired by Firamada
Atrix Indicates Willingness to Hold Discussions, Requests Additional Information
MINNEAPOLIS, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Atrix International, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATXI - news) announced today that it has been notified by representatives of Firamada, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: FAMH - news) that Firamada has recently acquired approximately five percent (5%) of Atrix International's outstanding shares. In addition, Firamada has issued a press release wherein it has indicated that it will request representation on the Atrix International board of directors.
W. William Bednarczyk, Atrix International's Chairman, and Steven D. Riedel, Atrix International's President and Chief Executive Officer, in a joint statement, commented, ''We are eager to discuss these developments with the principals of Firamada, Inc., as well as discuss their stated desire to facilitate a business combination between our two companies. We have indicated this in a letter to the company and have requested certain financial information from the company to assist us in carrying out our fiduciary duties.
