I agree with your assessment of the NRT situation. I believe that Nortran has tremendous potential. As a physician, it is easy to recognize that NRT has drugs that offer real benefits in a clinical practice. I think that NRT is truly addressing a significant unmet need in saving the lives of patients that could die from arrhythmia secondary to myocardial infarction (heart attack). It is great to see companies like FMI address problems such as hypercholesterolemia but it is unique to see a company like NRT address problems in health care that mean the difference between life and death in an acute situation. Currently there are no drugs which are efficacious without significant side effects in the treatment of arrhythmia. The usefulness of drugs such as this would create a huge market potential for NRT.
