Birkenstock, and the answer is no. Neil Cole has brought back "The Slide" which made Candie's popular back in the seventies. This time however, he has diversified his offering to potential customers. They also have the Bongo brand, casualwear that competes with Timberland and the like, accessories, an athletic line which was just introduced, and discussions have indicated that Candie's have also entered into the high fashion lines. These shoes are available at retail outlets like Nordstrom's. This business plan that Candie's is working is improving with each day that passes. I believe that we are witnessing more than a Fad this time around.
