No. Their cash position has reduced, if anything, as compared to that when they announced the previous bubacks.

However, recognize that the buy-back decision would have been decided by the directors. You can conclude they are incompetent or are controlled by the CEO but why would they approve a buyback if there wasn't some reasoned basis.

I think we can safely presume that they are incompetent. Otherwise they would have fired Cowpland a couple of quarters ago.

Why would they pick up personal liability?

What personal liability? When was the last time in Canada that a board member was succesfully prosecuted? Get real.
