When Brocade captured the Western Digital Team in Orange County we used to say that we had captured an entire ASIC team intact, which is a rare catch. Since we already had the Sun ASIC team and the HP-CNO ASIC team, it meant we had assembled 3 FC teams under one roof. That gave Brocade alot of FC ASIC talent in one place. There probably are very few whole teams like that in place. It gives them the ability to develop several projects in parallel. In addition they've added some ASIC talent from other companies to that team. It's actually one of the benefits of Silicon Valley, to have an ASIC talent pool to hire from.
