Tom:

I tend to think the index change is more coincidental than causal. Remember, QC is being removed from its previous index, so there are sellers and buyers.

I am frankly amazed by the thread's blase' response to the February Korean subscriber numbers. Qualcomm's February debacle was predicated on collapsing Korean domestic demand, substantiated by January's low 200K subscriber count. Recovery to the low 600K range in February raises the distinct prospect that the Korean "slowdown" may be little more than a couple month blip in subscriber growth and a modest currency devaluation (i.e. the won closed at 1390 for the March quarter).

Understand that the 13mm+ share short interest is largely based on the presumption that Korea continues to tank. The shorts have nowhere to hide if Korea comes bounding back.

Best regards,

Gregg
