and yet another company's definition of QOS = "Bandwidth Management"

(snip)
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BW)--April 1, 1998--Phasecom Inc.,
a leading developer of voice and data communications products for cable TV networks, has announced today the introduction of SpeedClass(tm), a bandwidth management tool that provides bandwidth allocation capabilities to the SpeedDemon Cable modem system.
CATV networks that employ the SpeedDemon System for data services can now use SpeedClass(tm) to provision multiple levels of bandwidth management, otherwise known as QOS (Quality of Service).
Cable operators who offer data services need to provide a guaranteed and consistent quality of service to their business and residential customers in order to maximize their revenues. SpeedClass provides a solution for data traffic control and comprehensive bandwidth. monitoring, usage and management.

It's an old Debate, that was never concluded, but then I never give up
when I know my perspective is correct.

QoS (Quality of Service) In Networking it is how reliable is your End to End Solution to the Client/Customer.

The Client/Customer's perspective is the only perspective that count's in this definition.

The client's perception of the quality of the service being delivered will determine whether or not they are satisfied with that service and whether or not they will want to continue to work with that service provider.
