As a Consumer, I can only listen to the market. With the $200 modem comes additional monthly ISP fees. The market tells me that the total cost of upgrading to an ADSL mode is meeting resistance. Sales are not exploding. So far I haven't been given any options. Until a telco or ISP offers me highspeed service, I don't see how I as a consumer can vote. Did you follow what happened when USWest offered ADSL? uswest.com Read that from top to bottom and then we'll talk. Pat
