Maybe I'm feeling kind of melancholy, but here's a post I just left on CSGI which kind of indicates that in my mind it's not just numbers:

>Well it's either that or we get tech back filling up the thread with his repeats!

If you want some serious comment, then here goes:

I can't see any real future in any stock that is Y2K only.

Unless these companies have the strategy AND AS IMPORTANTLY the ability to broaden their appeal, then any rise in share price after the middle of this year will be pure vanity. I certainly would not buy into any Y2K only stock now, and the ones I hold have been with me a good long while.

Somebody needs to start putting pressure on the guys running these companies.

Firstly, just because you've got good technology doesn't guarantee a God-given right to quarterly profits - you've got to SELL the technology. NB SELL THE TECHNOLOGY NOT JUST THE STOCK.

Secondly, without a strategy for broadening the offering these companies are going to go pop.

The computer industry is a cyclical one, and Y2K is just another opportunity. What often happens though is that outsiders to the computer industry get involved for the first time and think they have discovered Alchemy - don't be fooled. You need solid products, solid management and solid customers.

Anyway, back to Boys Own
