Tuesday will be a significant day for NVX. The FDA Advisory Committee Meeting, with NVX being scheduled to be up from 8:30 AM until no later than 12:00, noon, is expected to go smoothly. My input says that NVX will get a recommendation for approval for all five shots. What I would really like to see come out of the meeting is some press on the fact that NVX is the only DTaP vaccine brought before the committee that reported only minor side effects in the use of the vaccine, and no incidences of severe side affects as the other vaccines did.
Now, to add some understanding to the confidence I express in the outcome of the NVX committee meeting ,I will relate this regularly scheduled (QTRLY)Committee meeting, to the Qtrly meeting held in July in which Smith Kline was up for review.
First, Both the Committee and SKB knew they had some controversy, the side effects/safety problem that showed up in SKB's data, to deal with before they entered the meeting. The FDA thus appropriately scheduled a full day to hearing SKB's case . It took the full day and we all know they did not get a recommendation of approval for all five shots. In fact, it is my understanding they left the Committee with some pertinent questions still unanswered.
Such is not the case with NVX or Lederle.The same amount of time to here NVX is also scheduled to here Lederle on tuesday in the afternoon. The bulk of the time scheduled I am told is taken up with the company presenting followed by a brief review and comments.That is it.
I'll be at the meeting. Hopefully, I'll get the opportunity to meet some whom have posted here.
As to what the stock will do on tuesday or wednesday is anybodies guess. Day to day is not my bag. I will say over the next few months it will reach new and higher plateaus. Conceivably much higher. :-} |
