At the moment I'm not sure of the correct valuation for AMAT. Yes, the drop (54 to 25) certainly was significant. It just seems that there's a lot of questions to be answered about Asia and general fab delays. We see press releases every day that talk of trouble ahead for some techs.

I'm just trying to determine the right time to buy AMAT. Yes, it's probably a good buy now, but based on the information I get from others on this thread and stuff I dig up myself, it feels like we could go lower. Hard to imagine after a day like today.

About the market in general; I'm never really a "bear", but it's hard to imagine that the market can maintain (let alone continue up) these levels. I guess that's what I mean when I say, "the market normally doesn't act like this."
