Herman, and thread "Happy April Fool's Day!
I am new to this site by way of a not-so-nice article written by Michael Santoli "The Striking Price" in Barron's March 23rd.
Boy oh boy he did me a favor! I found all of you!
Have read (and printed some) the first 645 entries and the last 100 since Saturday last. I find the interchange and the GREAT sharing of REAL value. Herm, you are a blessing. Steve, Doug (I will send you some STUFF).
I am new to this. Lost about 70% of my meager $$ on ABTI last year. Have built it back up, but was gun shy.

Have received every stock pitch imaginable, like the rest of
you, I am sure. Was very confused. YOU have got me back on track.
Herm, et al, You are terrific!!!!!!!

Will finish all the entries asap, then maybe I can contribute something, if only questions.

Background: 7 years military 56-63, Corp. employee 8 years, own business 18 years, retired at 45 with 1/4 mil., went bust in 95, on the way up again.

Owned 7 properties at one time. Bought and sold others. Met with Wade Cook 1/2 dozen times. He bailed me out of a jam once.He is one heck of a marketeer!

His "Wall Street Money Machine" got me interested.

Have purchased and read "McMillan on Options" Understand I should get his other book on strategies. Have purchased and read "Investing for Dummies" (seemed appropriate) "Options for the Stock Investor" by Bittman, "The Mathematics of Investing" by Thomesett, "Getting Started in Options" by Thomesett, and others.

All this to make the point again, THAT, I think I am learning more on this thread. I KNEW there was something about timeing I was missing from the books. I KNEW that someone "out there" was doing it right.

Herm, et al, I don't want to just do the deals that you are involved in, but I would be proud to sit at the feet of the masters and learn how to do "it" well for myself.

Herm, you are not the only one that can write alot. DON'T Change a Thing!

Your humble student,Dick (the Hick)
