[Analysts motives]-- Bill, TXN announcement this week on their being
able to provide their dsp logic chip for adsl modems was very big.
Those in the know realize the importance of it to TXN and those
that don't will concentrate on dram prices. Next year dram will
represent less than 10% of TXN'S revenue. DSP chips will be well
over 50% of their revenue. This is where their margins are, not
dram. Analog Devices earlier last month beat earnings estimates
and surprised the analysts. They beat them because of their dsp prog-
ramable logic chip sales. Most analysts have still not figured
out that dram is less than 18% of txn's revenue right now.I believe they will beat their current quarter estimates and crush their next year's estimates. Adsl is taking off this year and TXN will be
a major supplier to any and all phone equipment companies.

This will be a watershed year for this company as it distances
itself from dram and entrenches itself as the dsp chip leader of the
world.
