Squalamine is originally used as a novel antibiotic, later found to have antiangiogenesis action, that it prevents formation of new blood vessels, enabling people with cancer to starve the cancer lumps to its death for lacking of nutrients essential for all growth. I won't be surprised that squalamine can cut down some irritatation of surface cells inside and near the windpipe, helping you in that regard.
