It's odd to me that a lengthy post implies an agenda, but I understand the healthy suspicion. The internet is awash in newsgroups with posts of every description and length. I could not express my thoughts in a more abbreviated way. I discovered the SI site somewhat by accident, probably through a link somewhere. I went through all of the previous posts in a very short period of time and printed many of them. Those posts gave me an impression of the dialogue here. Those of you who have been here and with the stock for a long time would have absorbed this info in a different way. The things that jumped out at me were the posts pertaining to unrealistic expectations and comparisons, and the hyperbolic speculation. It also concerned me that NVXE's web site and press releases were so heavily relied upon for information. If you review the posts you'll find a number of posts which suggest that NVXE is revolutionary, that it is better than Imax, etc., etc. It wasn't very long ago that people here were referring to the technology as "holographic". This kind of stuff is misleading because it exists without any sort of meaningful context. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the technical expertise of many NVXE investors is limited. It seems to me that many people here are hungry for more information, and not just about the latest NVXE deal. It cost me little to take a few minutes to offer my perspective (however subjective) on these posts and the potential for 35mm 3D in general. I agree that there's no such thing as perfect information. I tried to cover lots of territory in a short post. I do have biases based on my own research and perceptions of the market. But I don't think that dialogue, even critical dialogue, can be damaging in the long run. I for one think the posts here today have been constructive. I don't have any experience in the penny stock arena, but if posts like mine raise suspicions, that's reasonable. If I were in your shoes, I'd feel the same way. I happen to believe that there's no such thing as too much information. Sifting through varying viewpoints can lead to some sort of clarity, and if you decide you were right all along, that should give you greater confidence. Dino's posts probably filled in some blanks for some of you. I hope mine were a little bit thought provoking. If nothing else they may help you frame new questions for NVXE. As I said before, I have no doubt that NVXE is well intended and that its people are hardworking and honest. I do, however, have doubts about whether the time for the 35mm over-and-under 3D process in general has past. The fact that NVXE is using a 35mm 6-perf camera for some of its work (rather than the standard 4-perf) does suggest that it recognizes the value of more image "real estate" for image origination. |
