As for discouraging us shorts from posting, too bad.Last time I checked this is still America and the first amendment hasn't been appealed.
I have been watching this debate between the longs and shorts and thought I'd put in my two cents. I've been a Silicon Investor member for awhile, and I read this and other threads often. I've also been long AAPL for some time. I post very infrequently because I have nothing of substance to add beyond what more knowledgable AAPL threadmembers (such as Phil, Eric, etc.) post. I could fill people's bandwidth with "GO AAPL", "Its going to $100!!!" posts, but its discourteous and adds nothing to the discussion. I have absolutely nothing against shorts posting substantive notes that may add to my information base and help me decide what to do with my investment. However, what I've seen from most of the shorts have been posts of the "AAPL sucks!!!" variety, with little substantively added as to why they believe that. Or if anything of substance, they tend to repeat it OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I feel that its discourteous and transparent, and I'd appreciate shorts AND longs without new information to join us lurkers and read the posts of those with information. If it's so important to see your names on the screen, find another venue.
