Robert and anyone: Question; what is impact on DRAM size of Rambus technology? This is not an attempt to rain on CYMI's parade today, I'd just like to be sure there are no hidden surprises in the future ascent of the share price we are all looking forward to.
It's my understanding that the Rambus technology allows DRAM data transfer rates on the order of 10+ times those in common use in todays PC. Does this higher speed mean that future PCs with Rambus technology will not need the ever increasing size of installed DRAM? IF TRUE it could extend the production lives of existing DRAM Fabs and thereby impact CYMI. In the past we've managed to want and use all of the PC horse-power available but how much MORE do most of us need vs.want?
FWIW, I'm long CYMI, and have never had nor do I currently have a position in RMBS. Hoping someone will/may say -- NO PROBLEM, rather an opportunity-- with a short explanation or reference. Regards to all, jtj
