Dear Paul - I agree. Like it or not, BAY has to find an effective strategy to deal with CSCO's looming shadow. Irrespective of the latter's product portfolio and its nature (marketing vs technology,) the perception must be shaken loose before it takes hold in people's mind. While I ve confidence in Messr House's abilities, especially his marketing backgrounds, I don't think people should write CSCO threat off - and I suspect Messr House certainly doesn't, if he shares any affinity with Dr Grove at all. One of the possible advantages is BAY's services. If she can work with the major ISPs, backbone cos and telcos to provide a seamless integration [which was inferred by one of the recent PRs,] it will go a long way to differentiate itself from others, including CSCO. Ultimately, while one may be able to build team spirit by pulling together, it is counterproductive to denigrate one's opponent. Rather, BAY should learn to respect CSCO strength at the same time seeking to undermine it. rgds Bosco
