David, regarding seeing $60 first, you could be right if you believe we're in the "new era". Seems the rules have changed since the last confidence shattering dip. The SI chart below charts Adobe and Adaptec over about the last 2 years. Although the charts use % to mirror the changes, I've always noticed they often shared the same ranges and price (have been trading them both, never short). Both had their highs in the low 50's, then both announced earnings (not losses) about 50% under. Unfortunately, Adaptec had their problem a quarter early during full gitters and was quickly brought down to $20, when a dead fish stunk, or a stock was taken out and shot, depending on your preference.

I have no idea what's going to happen to ADBE, just add some caution. DEC last quarter also had a bad earnings report with a bad future projection and was rewarded with 12 days straight up. The Compaq buyout of DEC was announced over the next weekend, and DEC put on about another 10 pts. Anybody's guess as to whether some great news like in the DEC example leaked out in advance, or someone want's you to think that's the case. Any discussion on the "new era"?
thanks in advance,
