Hi Hamid,

By "present" Company I presume you traded in your ALSC shares for S3 shares.
My opinion (take it with a grain of salt though, my nom-de-plume really should be "Buy High - Sell Low"): I think you made a good decision. I know some really good people at ALSC, and I believe they will eventually pull out of their malaise -- but I think they're going
to have a much steeper hill to climb than S3 (its an awfully tough time to be speciallizing in SRAMs, DRAMs, and Flash memories). S3 has its share of issues to work through (if not, their stock wouldn't be at such a "bargain" price), but even given that 1998 will be a tough year, things appear to be pulling together well.
